I have been a member of the Union (LL717T & LL1922) for the past 28 years at Orenda Aerospace Corp. and have always felt a sense of job security. Being employed at such a large Company, it was good to know that there was always someone in the Union that I could go to for support if I had any workplace issues that needed to be addressed. Just like one big family. I guess that’s why we are brothers and sisters. I was laid-off twice in my career at Orenda, and because of being a Union member with seniority was recalled to work after a short period of time. Now I can take early retirement, thanks to the Union negotiated Voluntary Exit Plan, and along with my I.A.M. Pension will be able to retire with dignity and financial peace of mind. I would just like to say thank you and look forward to participating in the District Lodge 78 Retirees Club monthly meetings.
